Who We Are

Meet the Editors

Heather Booth has been a suburban public librarian since 2002. She mainly works with teens and adults, and has been working part time while maintaining side-projects since 2008.

Kim Calkins has worked in public libraries with both kids and adults since 2006.  She loves finding new ways to challenge and inspire her community through programming.  

Jacqueline Christen has worked in public libraries since 2004 in youth, adult, and branch services, and just started in a new management position.

Sharon Hrycewicz recently celebrated her 20th anniversary at her library.  Sharon is a children’s librarian in a medium-size suburban librarian.

Michelle Kilty has worked in both urban and suburban library settings. She has managed both children’s and adult services departments. She is a big fan of cats, shoes, doughnuts, and Beyonce.

  1. I’m looking forward to more of your posts very much! I’m a teen librarian in MA and very interesting bringing these concepts to my teens! I have little expertise so I can’t wait to see what you come up with! (Also, hurray for Chicago suburbs librarians! My mother lives in Lombard and my aunt in Elmhurst. I have a Plum library card kicking around somewhere….)
